CDW was finding that customers shopping for servers were often discouraged by the complicated product category - consumers either shied away from buying servers or ended up buying a server that did not their needs. CDW also saw an opportunity to shorten the lengthy sales cycle associated with servers.
The Solution
The CDW Server Advisor provides recommended specifications for a server rather than specific products. Once they've gotten recommendations, users can search, print, or email, or even send the specifications to a CDW account manager. This allows the account manager to gain some insight into what the client is seeking even before the first phone call or email.
